Warren County Same-Day Release Records
As of the research date, the official Warren County Corrections Department page has no inmate roster, booking log, release archive, or filter for the past day. The Warren County Sheriff site also does not provide a public 24-hour release screen. That means there is no official page to refresh, no published update cycle, and no online retention period for a county feed. A similarly named, non-government “Jail View” page is not linked by Warren County and is not a sound substitute.
The practical same-day channel is the Warren County Correctional Center. Ask whether the named person is currently held. If not, ask whether staff can confirm the completed release date and disposition, or direct the inquiry to the records custodian. The Sheriff FAQ itself routes questions about charges, bail, tentative release dates, and other-agency holds to Corrections. This local split matters because county Corrections, not the courthouse-based Sheriff, operates the jail.
Check Warren County Releases Today
Start with the agency that owns the door-out record. For a person booked at the Warren County Correctional Center, use the following order. It separates quick status checks from the durable record that can show what happened to the booking.
- Call the Center at 908-475-7900 with the full name and any known date of birth, case number, or booking reference. Ask first whether the person is still held.
- If custody ended, ask whether staff can state the actual release date, release time, and disposition. Be precise about community release versus transfer.
- Search New Jersey Enhanced VINE for the same person and agency. Read the status, location, event wording, and last-update time.
- Check the Warren County criminal case through New Jersey Judiciary tools when a bond order, dismissal, sentence, or probation term may explain the change.
- For a durable result, send the county a focused OPRA request for the existing booking or release entry tied to the episode.
A broad question such as “who got out today?” can ask the custodian to compile a new report. OPRA provides access to existing government records; it does not require a custom database query. Give an exact start and end time and ask for an existing release log for that period, if one exists. If there is no log, narrow the request to one person and one booking. Warren County Release Fields to Request
Because Warren County publishes no online feed, no set of fields can honestly be described as an official display. Instead, ask for identifiable fields in the existing custody record. Not every field must exist or be releasable, but the request can seek the following items without claiming that the county maintains a ready-made list.

The jail record supplies the operational time. A court case explains the order, charge outcome, or sentence, but it may not show the exact moment the person left the building. VINE can report a time-stamped status change, yet it remains a notification source rather than a certified release record. These sources work best when matched by name and a stable identifier.
The disposition field deserves close attention. Bond or pretrial release means detention ended under a court framework while the case continues. Time served or sentence complete describes the end of a custodial part of the judgment. Electronic monitoring or another alternative program may place someone outside the secure jail while legal limits remain. A receiving-agency entry is the clearest warning that the person did not enter the community. If the record gives only a code, ask the custodian what releasable record defines that code rather than assigning a meaning from another county’s system.
Request a Warren County Release Log
The current Warren County government-records form identifies the Public Information Department as the county custodian route. A request for an electronic copy can state the exact 24-hour period, describe the existing release log sought, and list the fields needed. If the county has no compiled log, request the named person’s booking and release entry instead. Include the full name, date range, and any known case or booking number.
The form lists pickup, mail, inspection, fax, and email delivery. Paper copies are listed at $0.05 per letter-size page and $0.07 per legal-size page, with other media at actual cost and delivery or postage added. It also allows a deposit against reproduction costs over $5. Electronic delivery can avoid paper-copy charges, although an extraordinary service charge may apply if the request requires unusual work and the county communicates it.
Send a Corrections custody request through Warren County Public Information, 165 County Route 519, Belvidere, NJ 07823, at 908-475-6580 or publicinfo@co.warren.nj.us. The Sheriff has a separate process for Sheriff-created records, but jail booking and release records should not be sent there by default. A denial should identify its legal basis. Juvenile, sealed, expunged, security-sensitive, and other exempt information may be withheld or redacted under New Jersey law.
Getting Home After Warren County Release
Release confirmation and a ride plan are separate tasks. Warren County Transportation operates public shuttle corridors and an eligibility-based demand-response service. The county does not say that a route stops at the Correctional Center, and it does not promise pickup when someone is released.
Call 908-475-6331 before relying on a county route. Ask about the nearest stop, service eligibility, any reservation rule, and the operating time that applies that day. A release can occur after the last useful connection or after a planned ride has left. Family or another permitted pickup may still be needed. This local option is best treated as advance planning, not as transportation guaranteed by the jail.

Warren County Program Days
The Warren County Correctional Center describes a County Labor Assistance Program for court-authorized participants. A participant may serve required straight-time days on weekends while remaining in the community during the rest of the week. That pattern can look like a new release after each program day, but a weekday absence from the facility does not necessarily mean the sentence has been fully discharged.
Ask for the precise status. “Not housed today” is different from “completed the sentence,” and participation in an alternative program is different from an unconditional release. The court order and Center record should show whether the person remains subject to the program. This is one reason a simple list of names, even if Warren County published one, would need disposition details to be useful.
Why Warren Release Sources Differ
County feed absence must not be confused with state web retention. Warren County has no official public recent-release page, while NJDOC uses its own offender-search rules for people within state corrections jurisdiction. NJDOC says a record is removed from its public web search one year after completion of the custodial term, including mandatory parole supervision when applicable. Certain lifetime-supervision records do not follow that removal rule because the custodial term lacks a completion date.
NJDOC is not an archive of every Warren County booking. A person who bonded out from the county jail without entering state custody may never appear there. For a state case, Date Out-of-Custody is the historical event field. Current Max Release Date and Current Parole Eligibility Date are future calculations, not proof of release. If the county event may have been a transfer to state prison, a later NJDOC intake supports continued custody.
Federal and immigration systems also stay separate. The BOP locator is used for federal prisoners, while the ICE Online Detainee Locator addresses current immigration detention. A release from Warren County to either authority ends the county episode but not all custody.
